Finally my first eye!
#1
Went down to the grand jordan river this evening and traveled through the brush to fish places that i haven't been. Despite the mesquitos that are bigger then small dogs it was a good idea!
After catching a few white bass and a mud cat on small spinner i tossed out a worm and caught a large perch! My very first walleye and man they fight! [Wink][cool]

I hooked him deep and wasn't sure if he'd live or not. I took my chances of eating something out of the jordan river so he ended up chillin in my freezer.
Measured him at home and was an honest 18 inches sure was a chubby one though!

Nice catch and nice report! You're one up on me. I've just recently started fishing for Walleye, and still haven't caught one yet. Thanks for sharing.

WE moved here from Calif and never caught a Walleye. In our first year of fishing for Walleyes and Pike we caught alot which is a rarety. Good luck. We have never caught one at Deer Creek yet, this lake is tuff to catch them.
