[font "Comic Sans MS"][size 2][#002850]Last year, I, along with RILEYFISH and Bait_Caster, scheduled a guided fishing trip on [url "http://www.fishflaminggorge.com/"]Flaming Gorge with Captain Jim Williams of Creative Fishing Adventures[/url]. We scheduled it for a one day trip and here is my report of that one fantastic day on the Gorge:
We left the marina at about 6:30 AM. We came back in when the wind picked up around 2:00 PM. The weather was quite good to us all day.
As I try to recollect who caught which fish when, I realize that it is kind of hard because Cap’n Jim had us so tightly focused on presentation, that lots could be going on and we wouldn’t even know it. Heck, most of the fish caught (RileFish) I didn’t know that they were hooked and being brought up because we had to stay so focused on our own pole and presentation. Some serious fishing man ...
I don’t remember who caught the first fish but BC and RF were going back and forth for a while in the morning. First one would catch one and then the other would catch one. Between them, they had caught 7 fish before I caught my 1st and only fish of the day.

First BC caught a pup 8 pounder an then he landed this nice 24:

RF had the hot stick with his first four being two 18’s, a 20, and a 24. I didn’t get any pics of them because I was busy filling up his camera with those pics. But here is a pic of him with one bending his pole:

One mac had a hard time expelling it’s air and Jim had to use a special weighted device to get it safely back down to the deep cold water:

Just about when the wind was picking up, we hooked into the mother load of the day. RF got a bite and just as he was reeling up, I got one on and then BC got a bite. We dang near had triples! BC’s came unhooked but RF’s and mine managed to stay buttoned:

With two big boys going every which way, they were bound to get tangled:

After 15 minutes of the hardest fish fight of my life, we had the two monsters in the net:

I had managed a 32:

What a great trip with a bunch of great guys. See ya next year ......
As I write this, RileyFish is still up on the Gorge with Petty4Life and some other guys trolling for kockene. No doubt, they are having great fun.
