Porcupine on Sat
#1
I fished the Pig on Saturday with my two sons and my Dad. We had a great time catching small kokes. I had never launched a boat there unitl Sat. The launch areas were better than expceted. I just need to thank fellow BFT members for their insight and help in a successful trip. It really helps a part time fisherman like me increase my odds.

Thanks for posting your report JHT, sounds like a fun trip. Did you launch at the first launch spot or in the back where people camp? Did you catch any browns? WH2

We launched back where people camp, although the first launch looked good. There were a handful of boats that launched there. We did not catch any browns, but we were targeting Kokes. There were a couple of guys at the launch area with one brown about 13-14 inches. We caught most of our fish on very small spoons behind RMT dodgers fished 25'-35'. We did catch some on squids, and apexes, but the small spoons were more productive. Those fish are small and I think that made it hard to hook them on larger lures.

That was me you met at the boat ramp. It was great to see your kids got to catch a few. I had my two boys out there on Wednesday and they were able to catch a few. Those kokes may not be very big but to listen to my boys tell it they were giant.

That's great you got into the kokes. That place is a beautiful place that is blessed with "silver"
Glad you had no problems launching.

I went up Sunday- started picking up trash down on the river. Never made it to the dam- wasted an hour doing that and left..
