PV muskies Aug 5
#1
Wiperhunter and I put my Crestliner in at 6:15 am.WH tied on a 2 hook muskie killer Mepps and I put on a 4 1/2 inch red & white Daredevil 1 1/4 oz.

My 10th cast hookup 10 feet from the boat. I watched the 44 in. tiger take the spoon and the fight was on. About 5 min later I had the fish along side the boat and WH took a pic with my cell phone. (He's a great guy but no photographer [unimpressed] ) My fault for forgetting the digital.

He put the tape on the fish and came up with 44 in. It had a good girth and looked to be in excellent shape.
We released the fish in the water without netting or bringing her into the boat.

This was going to be a hot day for muskies, " WRONG ".

4 hours later it was the only fish we had other than a big one I missed at the boat. The fish followed the spoon in and I jerked it away from her.

We spent the next 5 or 6 min. casting to the same cover but she wouldn't come out and play.

The last 1 1/2 hour we spent trolling big dardevils and J 13 Rapals.

Finally WH hooked up with about a 27 in. fish on a firetiger J 13. I took a couple of pics and we released the fish without bringing it into the boat.

Not to bad a day [Smile] Had good company, caught a few tigers and best of all most of the PV crazys stayed home today.

I actually got off PV without my blood pressure going through the roof.

Gonna have to go back and knock on that big fishes door in the near future and see if she'll give me another chance.

We caught the fish on the N E shore line off the port ramp (both sides of the point).
Surpisingly not alot of water skiers and only a couple of PC water craft - until about noon then the non morning people started showing up but by that time we had had enough.
Felt kind of sorry for WH as he only got a couple of hours sleep after getting off swing shift and meeting me at 5:45 in the morning.
He's a trooper though. He never said "ENOUGH" in between yawns [Smile].
I really love those big tigers. Just wish they grew walleyes that big [crazy]

Even with the lack of sleep today, it was still great to get out there and chase those big old tigers with you. It looks like both of us need to work on our picture taken skills[Wink] but I really felt lucky to even catch one that late in the morning. Thanks for a great day on the pond Roger, I really enjoyed it[Smile]. By the way here is a picture of that first tiger that I told you about today.

WH nice fish. Even the smaller tigers are pretty inpressive.

And whats the matter with MY picture taking ? At least I get part of my finger in the frame so folks can have something to compare the size of your fish with ! [crazy]

It wa a nice day to be out. Overcast, cool and not many crazys. The fish were just a bonus. Thanks for going.
