Where and what time did you fish? I have been getting into them pretty good up there along the entire stretch from Echo on up to the start of the river. There are better periods in the day to fish this time of year. I haven't seen many people getting them on dries, and I tried everything for about a half hour and couldn't get any. I switched to a two nymph system and caught quite a few everyday I've gone. Those browns are pretty smart buggers. It almost looked like the fish were feeding about a foot below the surface, like they are waiting for the nymphs to come up and turn into adults. I will drift my nymphs down through a stretch and then sweep them across the river and strip them back a couple of times towards me and I would say one time in ten you will have a brown bite. PM me if you have any questions.

you have been fighting a bright moon. they eat all night then arent hungry. i went up last friday and saw the same thing. i think if you hit it later in the afternoon and try a lighter colored fly might work.
