Fishing is modeate but consistant. Used the tried and true method of hopper and dropper. small beadheads and tungstun midges. caught four nice ones 14-17 inches a few dinks. fish close to the banks most of the fish are in 12 inches of water or less late afternoon seemed to be the best. caddis are coming of sparingly but not a whole lot of top feeding but will stimutle a strike. stay back fish are spooky. and try to go during week less floaters around.

I fished south fork about two weeks ago. I started with a sanjuan and a small nymph had a few hits. Then I changed over to a brown wooly bugger and nailed a 14incher or so on my first cast. I am pretty new to fly fishing maybe i was just lucky.
