What's the story? I heard it was all a lie? He did not kill a 34" buck, a lion didn't steal his buck, he didn't talk to any DWR officer and hike in 12+ miles to investigate, he shot a decent buck and lied about killing a bigger one for recognition??? Anybody have anything??[shocked]

 ]I guess the guy just wanted everybody to think he was a excellent hunter that harvested trophies every year. Fact is, all the bucks he has pics of are his dad's wyoming bucks. I'm sure he has told some "Fish Stories" as well. [mad] [signature]

Interesting. I have not seen him around since his public hanging on here. Things were pretty stretched to me. I would like to here more about this fabricated whopper of a deer story that was drug away by a house cat?
IF the person or persons who know that this story was all bull pucky would come forth and admit to yanking our chains, that would be nice [signature]

Well, don't look like he is going to fess up so here it is.
He lied about the whole thing. He made it up to make the rest of us think he was a better hunter than he is. I didn't see anything wrong with what he had already accomplished but he wanted to 1-up himself i guess. Many of the stories he has posted were lies or half-truths over the last few years. A BFTer turned him in for poaching and they investigated it thoroughly and he finally told them he was lying. So much for recognition huh? I don't understand why someone would tell a lie as detailed as this one. Too much work i think. I guess he probably won't come back after all of this. I would think the better thing to do would be to explain himself. Maybe he could earn a little respect back coming clean.[frown] [signature]

Thats to bad that he had to lower his standards to that. Yea, We all want to be a great outdoorsman, great hunter, fisherman, but, I sure wouldnt lie about it just to try and make myself look that good. That was alot to accomplish for kid that is only 20 yrs old. ITs one thing to have one deer in your life drug off by a lion but two? I dont think so.
I feel bad for someone that has to lie like that to try to make everyone else think that they are that good. [:/] [signature]

I think the Lion bit was the thing that gave away the lie. No way is a Lion going to simply pick up a 250 lb buck and run off.
Even if the lion was able to drag the buck away, he couldn't go far and there would be a big trail leading right to the buck. I thought the other funny thing in the Past lion story was that the lion tore the buck in half and took the front half instead of the back half. Why would a lion take the head, antlers, and rib cage when he could have both hind quarters and the rest of the good meat. [crazy] BTW He wont be back. He PMed me and told me that he was canceling his account or whatever and leaving for good. [signature]

I sent him a pm inviting him to come back and give his side of the story. If he did in fact lie then my guess is that he won't be back. I'm still trying to understand what he was hoping to accomplish or gain with such a trumped up story, makes no sense what so ever.

i knew it was crap when hesaid he could not fallow a cat drag. 1 thing ive seen time and time again back when i used to look for kills. the nose tounge and brains get chowed on first unless its a female cat with cubs. then it spred out hell to breakfast. toms eat face first from all the ones ive found. ken
