Chesterfield ice derby, anyone?
#1
I will be trying my luck at chesterfield on the 17th for the derby. Just wondered if anyone else got info on that one? They are only letting 150 people in on that one this year. seems like that's beginning to be a total number for people to enter the derbys around here. Well good luck to anyone there catch the big one, they are not giving out hourly prizes.

Idaho Fish and Game has set a limit of 150 for fishing Derby's . I don't know if this is just Ice Fishing or all Derby's . Curt G.

Anyone wanting to shoot the breeze, I'll likely be there pretty early (as in around 6). I'll be driving a white extended cab Ford F150 with a tool box in the back. Oh, yeah. I'll have a lot of fishing gear and sled. Look for the sled, LOL.

Looking forward to meeting some of you. And good luck to all who are participating. I know I'll need it. I didn't even get a single qualifier for the DC tournament.

Has anybody been to Chesterfield lately? Should I bring a snowmobile or would I be Ok with a four wheeler?

I heard payoff was only 20% of the pot for the first prize? But the rules don't have that info, so if anyone knows let the rest of us know. Hope the rafal has some good thing to give away.

A 4wheeler or a snowmobile would work either way the lake does not have much for snow on it from what I here.

I'm coming up from Utah early Saturday morning for the derby. Does anyone know where I can buy a license that early, a gas station maybe? I should be to McCammon around 6 am. Sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun, good luck to everyone who goes!

According to the original flyer, the payout is 25% for first, 15% for second, and 10% for third. It's not too specific other than that. I don't expect this tournament to be nearly as well done as DC was. Those guys running DC did a real good job IMHO.

Well right now the bass fishing is kind of slow and a mans got to make a living so I thought that this would be the next best thing. You know ice, freezing hands and feet, a runny nose, pounding a jig, that's some fun stuff!

Hey thanks for the help, I bought my license online and now we just need the weather to cooperate. If anyone goes up there today or tomorrow be sure to keep us posted on road conditions. See all of you taters up there![Tongue]

b.t.w. Does anyone know how big the larger fish are getting in there? 21, 22 inches maybe?

Does anyone know what the road conditions are like right now? It's been raining all day in Utah. I don't see any notices on the ISU website so it looks like the derby is still on for tomorrow.
