Every time I go up I have to call in sick for another day. It was slow, I fished from clam to ellis, it was slow. We showed up to the river below shoup at about 2 on sat. and it was hot, in 3 hours we caught 5, but after that it was here and their, and bad weather. I took 2 beginers and they gave me a woopin, I caught 1 the hole trip, but I got them addicted.

Good Job. What techniques and baits where you using? If you don't mind me asking.

Cool stuff, thanks for the report. Where were you fishing in relation to the Sawtooth hatchery? I dont know the Idaho area very well as I'm a WI transplant into UT. I'll be headed up to the Stanley area in roughly 2 weeks. Any tips you'd be willing to offer would be appreciated.

I use roe and only roe for the most part, as for my friends, the one read an artical that told him to tie on another leader under the roe with a small black fly, and thats what the fish wher hitting, maybe I shouldn't be so stubborn next time and try others ideas. But I sure had fun watching them catch fish. I was way down river from sawtooth, between challis and the middle fork.
