Sometimes it goes that way. When I bought my latest tube a couple of months ago, I rushed and grinded out a rod/fishfinder rack. Spent a good amount of time designing it too. By the time I had used it twice, I was already working to figure out a better solution.

I would say my new rack is pretty much final, and it's not just an improvement on the old one. It's a completely new design, from square one. Sometimes you just need to start from a clean slate.

What do you think of these?

Used by kayakers, very low profile, adjustable, universal fit, IF you can find a SOLID place to drill a hole.

Interesting and a good price, but I would love to see how the rod sits in them. I am not seeing it.

No made for Fly gear though, so wouldn't work at all for me.
The Scotty works on all rods/poles and reels.

I would have to agree on the Scotty's. I have them on my boat and love them. They are going on the toon also.

They are cool, and a great price, just not for me.
QUOTE:
BEE READY rod holders fit most rod and reel combos:bait cast, spin cast, and even pistol grip rod handles.

No fly rod, and that is all I use.

Thanks for posting the pictures though, that could help allot of people out.
