Strawberry 4-29 and 30

Fished strawberry yesterday and today.. A buddy and I got up there at 6pm and I landed 4 cutts and one little bow.. All on flies at the ladders.. Friend caught 3 cutts on flies.. Today we fished the ladders for a while really really slow i had only one on in the first 4 hours he landed 2 nice cutts.. We tried to move but there really isnt much open water anywhere on the lake..So we went back to the ladders and I caught 2 today and buddy caught 4 it was slow.. Im newer to fly fishing lakes and i dont think i did too bad.. So we each ended with 7 fish total.. Here are some pics to look at and this is what happens when the wind picks up out there and there is still some ice to fish there

Nice man, I'm headed up there tomorrow, can't wait to get back into those awesome cutts! What flies were they hitting on? looked like a green bead head bugger? Oh, and I loved the ice fishing pic!

Sounds like a fun trip, always good to catch fish. Looked pretty cold though, makes me shiver just seeing you out there with ice floating around.. bbrrrr..

Yea it was a little chilly out there.. And yes a green beadhead wolly bugger.. Also heard black was doing okay as well.. When the wind picked up we where tired from kicking against it so we rowed up on the ice and started fishing threw it that way.. Good times..

Thats what i was trying to tell him that i use bait up there bigger then that..
