Mantua is HOT
#1
Fished Mantua for about two hours and caught around 20 bass. Biggest around 16 and the average was pretty small but still fun. I fished the northeast side from shore using a crappie jig. Even caught a few on a banjo minnow. They were only about 10 feet out and i sight fished for about 6 of them. It was really fun and a great way to start my first bass trip.

Well now that you posted that, I'm sure it's gonna be a zoo this weekend. [:p] ha ha

Hey I wouldn't mind, as long as the power crowd stays home (which they never do).

That's great you caught so many bass. Any trout, perch or 'gills in the mix?

Maybe a zoo on the weekend.... but thats why you go on weekdays[:p] No gills or perch i saw some gills so i tried to catch a few with a small jig but like i said thats what the bass loved. Im pretty sure they were in hiding too cause id see some then id cast there and theyd be gone. on that cast id catch a nice bass. probably ambushing the little gills.

And i was not there with another guy and my son cause i have no son i'm 17 ha ha. glad i didnt have a so with me.
