mill hollow?
#1
anyone know if mill hollow is open yet? i know they were draining it to repair the dam and then opening it back up sometime this year, but does anyone know if its full? looking to head there with the family and my 2 year old neice that has been dying to catch fish. Either going to head there or if anyone has anywhere fairly close to the salt lake area where we can catch some perch/crappie/bluegill. i dont really want to drive very far considering the 2 year old with us. anyone know if the perch are biting at deer creek? any help would be very appreciated.

I was snowmobiling in the lake bottom late this last winter. It was bone dry at that time (except the snow). I couldn't tell whether the work on the dam was complete. I am interested to hear the answer to this question too. BTW, without the water there you could see the bottom contour. It is deeper than you might expect and some of the sides drop off much steeper than you would expect.

The state website says fall 2008 so I am guessing not yet but I could be wrong.

I am with you. I will check it out next week n let you know. Its close so not a bit waste of time if its empty. (No construction is bad for my wallet but my fishin pole is enjoying it)

My son went up this last Thursday to see how it was doing. He said it looked like the dam was done and they were just starting to re-fill it.

At the central rac meeting on tuesday they said it was not open yet. There are fish reserved for stocking once it's filled.

I don't remember when they said it would be stocked. Give the DWR central region a call.
