Utah Lake carp and white bass
#1
I launched from Saratoga today (Friday) with my 5 year old daughter. We headed south. I was thinking of going to the Knolls, but I instead stopped at Pelican Point. I should have kept going. My daughter caught the first white bass right off the bat. I thought it was going to be great. I didn't have the camera ready for her though. As soon as I got the camera out of the bag, she decided that she would rather play with the camera than fish. So, I used her Barbie poll, and she took the pictures. We fished for about an hour and only caught two white bass. The carp were swimming all around us, so I reeled in the poles and brought out the bow. I am a terrible shot with this new recurve I just picked up. I only hit one carp. I began to zero in on them though, and I think next time I will do a little better.
