Pelican!!
#1
A couple buddies and I hit pelican this weekend not knowing what to expect and I think I found my new favorite bass hole! Wow, it was nuts! They were hitting EVERYTHING we threw at them! We caught them on spinner baits, poppers, soft plastics, buzz baits, drop shotting, carolina rigging, texas rigs etc etc! It rained on us all weekend, but at our age it didn't slow us down much [Smile] Most of the bass weren't very big, 8" or so but we hooked into some toads and in general had a riot! I love bass fishing!!

Sorry, the pics are huge and I couldn't edit them for some reason, hope you enjoy them though!

Vedi nice bucketmouths!! I love that lake. Hope the winds stayed away for you. Last time we were out there we had 30-35 mph gusts. [frown] We're heading out there this next weekend. Thanks for the sweet report and pics!

Great report! I love pelican too. I was there the weekend before and caught most on crank baits few on soft plastics - maybe the water is warming and they are getting more active by the day-may have to head up this weekend. Thanks for sharing what you were using , lots of these guys will talk about getting into fish but sssooooo secretive about where and what to use-think they are fishing in the classic![Wink]

[Smile]thanks for the report and pictures. I was planning to go over memorial day weekend but weather wasnt looking to hot so I cancelled but looks like I should have gone fishing instead. Last year the weather was nasty and made for a long trip and limited success for me but I'm hoping to get down there soon. Thanks again and nice bass

Yeah it was a pretty wet trip! But totally worth it! Pelican is a little more than three hours from salt lake and isn't that big of a lake. We talked to a dwr guy there and he said the lake is amazing for top water in the summer if you can stand the tripple didgit heat and the massive amount of bugs so now is a good time to hit it!
