Read someplace that the Price River between Emma Park to where it crosses Hwy 6 went dry last fall/winter. Is this true? Has anyone fished this stretch of water to confirm that there are still fish?
I have caught some nice bowns and some decent sized tiger trout out of there in years past.
TIA

The section from the confluence with white river on down to helper had decent water all winter. It was from the scofield dam down to the white river that the stream was nearly shut down due to the dam reconstruction project. Som I would think the lower section still holds fish.

That's too bad that they killed off that stream. That was easily my favorite trout stream in the whole state. Glad I moved away or I'd be way upset about it.

Not all is lost. I have lived thru 2 poisonings od scofield and lower fish creek (roetone treatments) And some of the best fishing occured on lower fish creek in the next few years that followed, at least for size. I think thats due to thinning the trout population which tend to over populate that stream. So I would look forward to the next 8-10 yrs on that stretch of water.

That's good to hear. I live about five miles from the Idaho border now, so I don't know if I'll get many chances to hit it. It's just good to know that it will be good if I get a chance and for other fishermen.
