After a long tough but fun day with XLVD on Friday, I went and did some tackle restock and headed to Holiday Shores to crash at Hammer's fish camp. Decided to catch a few extra ZZZs and let the tournament boys get out of the way, and headed to Waterfront at 6:00. Busted down river to a rock pile I located Friday and popped a few nice keepers immediately. Then headed further down and got on two areas with shell beds near Seibold. This was the mother load. My first two casts resulted in a 3.5 lb spaaat and followed by a 4 lb Largemouth. Hammer soon there after nailed a 5 lber off of the same bed. We boated 35 bass with nost keepers in these areas on crigs with a mix of different plastics. The beds were in 14-27 feet of water. We had NO flow, so I could only imagine what it would be like with it. Left the deep water along around 1:00 and headed up river for some grass fishing. Located some offshore humps up to 4 feet with 8 ft around them. They were very small and obscure but held great fish. We picked up 5 more keepers with two in the high 4 lb class anchoring them. All were one a swimming worm.Ended the day around 3:00, boated around 40 bass with most keepers, with best five around 22-23 lbs. Fished near a couple of Hammer's buddies, Hadley Coan and Donny McElvoy who one the NATA 3 fish tourney with 17.09 and 17.8 lbs respectively. They had a heck of a day too! Will post pics when I get them.
