I am meeting a friend at Otter Creek in a week and have never fished there. I have a small boat we are going to be fishing with. Any tips or help on what to use or where to fish on the lake would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was just down there yesterday and we fished from 6:30-9:30pm using flat fish and Rapalas (rainbow coloring). We trolled along the edge the full 3 hours and caught 11 fish. The flat fish seemed to work the best. I am not exactly sure what the coloring was but I know it was black with red dots. We found that most fish were caught at about 10-15 ft deep. There were a lot of people fishing from shore using powerbait and worms and that seemed to be doing pretty good as well.
Hope this helps

The week before the 4th of July we did pretty good in the north end of the lake, 12-15' deep soaking Power Bait. I think we were doing a little better than the shorebound crowd. Early was better. A couple fish looked like they were starting to get sores.

for trolling , think fletfish, needlefish, and a jakes lure are all productive. But my best advice this year would be when the wind kicks in (and it will arround noon) Pick up and head back to piute. We've had better action and much better size there this year. However I have'nt been back in 4 weeks due to work. So not to updated

Thanks for info everyone. We had discussed going to Fish Lake if the fishing is slow, but Piute may be just as good. I will post a report when I return in a couple weeks.
