Disappointed
#1
Last trip to Willard my bow mount quit working, thought maybe it was in the wiring but when I had a chance to check it out the wiring was good and I had 24v to the motor. Sad part is the wife and I are leaving Friday for a couple days fishing in WY. for walleye. I will be lost without it. I guess it really doesn't owe me anything as it is part way thru it's 8th season on the water and as a walleye fisherman who fishes bottom bouncers and jigs alot it spends long hrs. in the on position. Will get this one repaired in Woods Cross when we get back and have ordered a new one from Cabelas with a little more thrust. Hopefully we can still hook up with some eyes.[:/]

Thats really a bummer Pete. Sorry to hear about that. Sounds like she gave you alot of good trip on the ponds though. I hope you can get it bandaged up to get you through till your new one comes in. Good luck on your trip.!

That is where we are headed, they had a tournament there last weekend I guess and caught some nice fish. The guy that repairs Minn-Kotas is headed for the Gorge today so I had to get the repair put on hold. He said that was alot of use from the motor with no problems, I had put a Minn-Kota on my other boat and it was in its 7th season and still going strong when I sold it and bought our current rig. I will just have to try some different tactics to catch some fish. The trip will also give us a chance to look at the area we drew our LE elk tags this year.

[#502800]I'd like to know where you take a Minn-Kota for repairs. My bow-mount has developed an annoying vibration noise that probably scares the fish away so it probably needs new bushings or something. Any info would be appreciated. Actually I live in Utah County so if there's someone closer that would be good, but I'll run it up to Wood's Cross if I need to. Thanks. [Smile][/#502800]

First time ever having to have a minn-kota repaired, but I was referred to Crofts Power Equipment and the guy that does the repair is an authorized service tech for Minn- kotas. He goes by Swede and the number at Crofts is
801-397-1675. Can't vouch for his service or prices but he will look at your motor then give you a call with the estimate of how much it will cost. Sounded like a decent sort when I talked to him on the phone.

I have been saved, ordered on line from Cabelas
Monday and new motor arrived today, standard shipping and it was free with an incentive program they were running. All is good.

Crofts is in Woods Cross and they are listed as the minn kota repair shop in UT by Minn kota.
