Pymatuning Lake
#1
Has anyone ever fished the Pymatuning lake? I am heading out there on Friday and am curious on what baits work the best there. Any help would be appreciated.

If your thining live bait, I suggest Crickets and Leaches under a bobber or a little split shot and let them fall down the side of a drop off... Bass hit hard on the drop.[Wink]

if your thinking artifishal soft plastics curly tails or casting repallas, spinner baits and yellow rooster tails.

be sure to let us know how you do... we always love to hear fishing stories.

good luck...

Well guys the weekend started off on a bad note. I was traveling down I79 and starting to get excited... I looked in my rear view mirror and saw my boat fall on the right side... Then I saw my tire roll past me... At at 65 MPH. Boat was fine but the bearing ceased up and the tire snapped right off. So I had a wrecker tow my boat and trailer to pymtuning and roll my boat and trailer down the boat ramp and lauched the boat.... Should of saw the looks I was getting... Now on to fishing.. Friday night had a couple of hits along the banks... Saturday I should of just went with instincts instead of the map... Trying to find the fish attractors was a pain and didn't pay off... Didn't catch anything....One fish Sat night.. Sunday I went back to the basics.... Top watered the banks and lilly pads... 16 fish...a couple 4-5 pounders... Thanks for the help guys and can somebody stop by and turn my bilge pump on. LOL>

Holy crap! If that would of happened to me i would have been so ticked off that i would have said to hell with fishing this weekend. Sorry about your luck, but at least you got some fish.

I feel ya on the attractors, they freaking suck! I never get anything off of them either, well except for snug once in a while. U seem to fish they same pattern i do for bass up there. Personally i like the upper end of the lake. I fish the onion fields up there and do fairly well. I really like fishing around the tuttle campground area, there are some big muskie in there so watch out lol. So what part of the lake did you fish anyway? Get any pictures?
