Okay so with the cloudy weather I thought I would take my good friend Joe who is an avid golfer but does not fish much and hit the nukes for some sure fire TW action with spots and white bass! Right? Wrong! emoBang Hardly any current not much wind and lake slick just wasn't happening. So what to do? emoScratch I really want Joe to catch something. So we run to a ledge along the main river channel and what's this it looks like some fish on the graph! We pull out some jigs and Trigged worms but no takers! emoDoh So then I am like feeling really panicky because I bragged on how good the fishing has been - ever done that?? emoBooHoo So we go to some flats and about the third cast I hook up on a small bass. But wait there is more.... emoFish Over the next couple hours we fished hard and I put 5 more in the boat. Each larger than the last! emoDance But Joes had not caught anything. emoConfused So I take him to one more area and bam! emoFish Hooks one right near the boat and lands it. WTG Joe! emoFish At the ramp met some new friends. One gentleman caught 15 in 35 to 40 ft. Not much size but day before he said they were big. Our fish today all caught on Chartruse Spinner Bait fished reeaallll Sloooow! In fact I caught my biggest fish when I got a backlash and when I started reeling the line came tight and there he was jumping and pitching a good ole fit! emoLaugh Threw lipless and deep divers but no takers on the crank baits today. Saw no bass busting and just a few schools of bait! Tight Lines - Bill
