So here's the story. He threw over the powerline and then pitched his second pole. After that he returns to his first pole and his line was pointing the exact opposit direction of his cast. He turns and says its a big un so up comes the anchor and after chasing him around for 10 min we got him in the net. That big ole kitty swam atleast 100 ft up the river before he even noticed that he had a bite! Lucky SOB!!

Nice kitty!!!!!!!!!!
Sure hope you released that big old kitty,
No good eating when they are that big and can't mount it
so I just hope you let that one live, to reproduce
and to let someone else have a good time at her!!!!
But the picture doesn't look like it was.
Nice Kitty.[Wink]

+100000000 there's a lot more there, believe me and they reproduce just fine, no shortage. Give a the kid a break, what would you have done, at that young age? Don't preach and detract to the experience when it's so insignficant to the total picture, ok? Man, I hope he keeps some notes and keeps the pic.s for his kids and enjoys many, many great meals. As far as bigger cats not tasting as good, bull! When the family sits down and eats a meal, it will tasted wonderful. Memory sure can change any minor, and I do mean minor difference. [Smile] I do agree, that if he could afford it, it would be well worth his while to have hard life time evidence.

What ever I was a guide for years out at UL, They taste like sh--. And yes you can keep them and no they are not a good fish to mount ,
You guys are something else I've haven't been on this site for ever now I know why ??????
And no there are not the many big kittys any more not like there once was . Keep the small ones to eat but let the big old ladies go,
And no I would not have kept it back then we have ALWAYS released the big kittys out at UL.
You know if this was Capt. Jim saying the same thing you would be bowing to his every word !!!!!!!
And then telling Capt. Steve he was a [#0000ff](please no creative profanity)[/#0000ff] --- For letting his clients keep fish What ever??????????
Its site is something else!@#$%^&*([url "mailto:^%$#@@#$%"][/url]^%$#@@#$%[/url]^&*[Wink]

True their are not many that size, but the Bear River is loaded with cats almost overloaded. It does not hurt to take catfish out of this system. I say get the thing mounted and show us the pics of your mount when you get it done. Then everyone can decide if it looks good or not. Either way it will still look big on the wall!!![fishin]
