[cool][#0000ff]Current weather forecast for next Monday at Utah Lake is "doable". Let's plan to hit Lincoln Beach about 7 AM for early walleyes or white bass and then fish through the morning for cats. [/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]We can plan to get together for a combined lunch and chat session about midday. No need to get too involved with assigned food dishes, etc. Just bring your own goodies.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I will bring my fillet setup, but not sure if the fillet station will still be open. They often close it about the first of October when it gets cold enough to freeze the water pipes.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I am attaching a couple of maps for anybody who has not been there before. Probably the best spot to launch in the lower water conditions at present will be out on the end of the south dike of the boat channel.[/#0000ff]

[cool][#0000ff]Sorry. Contrary to what you might believe, we did not plan this just to make you feel bad. It is about the third try we have made to get something on a Monday so a couple of our members who can only fish then will have a shot. We usually have them on Fridays or weekends, but not EVERYBODY can make those either.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]This will probably be our last group thing this year. But, if anybody has any ideas for something starting about April (walleye) or May (catfish and white bass) it is probably not too early to start a tentative calendar for next year. Maybe we could do one each month, on different waters for different species. Might even set up a tubers & tooners contest for species...numbers, sizes, etc. [/#0000ff]

Bummer for me. As it turns out I will definitely be out of town on Monday.
But lots of opportunities next year.
Have fun all.

I would like to make it, but in addition to working mondays, it is a little too far for me to pull off. I was still hoping for a Willard trip on a Fri or Sat since the last one was canceled.

[cool][cool][#0000ff]Still waiting to get a 24 hour advance weather forecast for Monday, but right now it does not look too good for tubing...and fishing. Gonna be windy on Sunday and another wind and storm situation on Tuesday. And, there has been a constant up and down cycle of wind and weather over the past few days. My experience is that Utah Lake fishes much better after about 2 or 3 days of stable conditions. The water is going to be murky from the wind and the fish are not likely to be too active.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Since you guys are the ones we have tried to plan trips on Monday for, if you have a potential problem lets put another planned trip into the POSTPONED bin and keep trying.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]If we wanna look toward NEXT Monday...the 19th... let's think about Huntington and some tiger trout. It is TIME. That will be an ideal time and the 10 day forecast looks good over the weekend and into Monday.[/#0000ff]

I like that idea. Gives me time to work on the toon. Last time I went out with MaDfisher55, we had a little mishap with the PVC. Need to rebuild part of the rack on the back.[:/] Otherwise still works![cool] I will mark down monday and see where it leads.

If Monday is out for weather then the 19th would work fine for me as well. I've not been to Huntington before so even better for the chance to fish a new location.

[cool][#0000ff]I will put up an announcement post the first of the week and I will include maps and instructions for those who have not been there.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]It is about 2 hours from Salt Lake, up Fairview Canyon in Sanpete County. Might get some ride sharing going on.[/#0000ff]
