I've only been there once, but I think there are fish all over that lake. We found fish from 10-25 feet deep using pink/white and green jigs. Tip that with a some type of worm, add some fish scent to it, then hold on tight! You might not be able to keep the fish off your line if you follow this method.[Wink] Good luck, and tell us how things go.[fishon]

Hey DustPonds,

I was there on Saturday and it was great. I was on the Southwest side. I think the first parking lot from the dam on the west side. Two of us caught around 20 each that afternoon and lost quite a few more. Below is a message I replied back with to someone that sent me a private message.

"I was over on the south west side of the lake. I believe it was the first parking lot on that side. I was in 17 feet of water. I walked out about 50-60 feet from the shore and a couple hundred yards from the dam (that's a guess though. Looking at my picture I posted might help you a little. Let me know if you have any more questions. Like I stated earlier, meal worms, pink and white jigs. The fish were all in schools. I actually lost one of my poles because the two of us had four fish on at the same time. Good luck. Let me know how it goes."

It's a great place to fish and it wasn't too crowded at all.

Hey I read some of your blog. it's pretty well done. i enjoyed reading your stories.
I did think it was funny when i found myself in one of your pictures! I'm in that big shoulder to should fiasco on opening day at Henry's lake. Caught some big fish, but a little solitude would have been nice!

Thanks for the report. I plan on going in the next couple of days. From the picture the ice looked like 4 or 5 inches thick was it pretty consistent or did you find any unsafe ice? Going to take my boys with me and wanted to make sure. Any idea how many fish you caught total?

Total on the fish would be around 15-20 we lost count. but it wasnt over twenty. We had some misses that would have put us over twenty but other then that it is between 15-20.

The blue device that is in one of my pictures is a JawJacker that one of my friends has a patent pending on. It is pretty awesome. It sences the smallest of bites and when the fish hits it releases the bent rod and you have a fish on. I cannot explain it very well. My friend is getting the mold made for them as we speak then he hopes to put them out on the market. They out fished me with regular rods easily. they caught at least 12 fish and we only caught a few more with our fishing pols with out them. Ill try to get my friend to respond about them. he knows way more about them then I do.

Ill let you all know when he has some for sale. The can be adjusted to different lengths of ice poles. I also has adjustments on how high the rod is held. Pretty neat. I told him to come on the site and explain them a little better. I am hooked with them so hopefully he can get them out and ready soon.
