Ice in South Central Idaho

Does anyone fish the CJ Strike or Cove Arm areas in the winter? Do they ice over sufficiently, or are they early open waters? What about below the dams? I am looking for some open water for February. Probably in the Boise area. Any ideas or experiences? Thanks!

On the few occasions that the places you mentioned do ice up, it is very dicey. I'd recommend staying off of it unless you are an experienced die hard. Most likely you'll have open water if you give them a try.
