I think we have a problem in fg there are ling under every rock[crazy]we tryed new spots each night and had the best bite's i have ever had. fished north of buckboard then last night south buckboard .fri night we totaled out at 73. then sat night just me alone got 37. my two buddy's got 46 it was all on glow jigs and grubs with meat and crawfish scent rechargeing jig's every 10min and movement helped. we caught fish in 70ft up to around 18ft. 30-40ft was the best. had another buddy go home with 85 for two night's and they fished north buckboard.i cant go tonight iam burnt out.....[cool]tired of fileting the sob's.

Try leaving one or two for Mark and I when we get up there. Until then I'll just call you General Burbot.

Wow! I really have to say those are some disgusting looking fish, are they really that good to eat? I have never been keen on eating bottom dwellers, I here they are pretty good eating but I just can't get past the slimy looking eel's. How are the fillets'

All this talk about Burbot made me do some research on filleting them. Surprisingly there is very little meat that come off these things but seems easy enough to do...
Here the best link I found on cleaning/filleting Burbot...

i love there white flaky meat. they are ugly but get past the look and to the dinner table and you will fish for them again. the filet's are tuff to get off when you first start but after you do a few thousand, you figure out how to get the meat off them dink 12''. i think we could do this every night on every point and not even touch these damn thing's. every spot i have fished is loaded with them so iam loading my freezer. just got done with a ling salad and it was awsome.and my dad just stole a bag so guess i will have to go tommorow night.[sly]

Right on big man! I wish I had a dime for each burbot that has gone across that cleaning station of yours. The critters around your house eat really good.

Like Rob said, Will be up soon to get after them.

We hit the ice at Buckboard on Friday night. It was 33 degrees and clear skies.

That area always has funky weather. Not much snow at all.
