Wondering about the ice and if there is good ice where, if not any info on bank fishin. Looking for perch, gills or crappie. Thanks

Michael - Like I said on the other thread I hear that some perch are being caught at the dam but it's only hear say. One source says below the dam and one says on the spillway. There should be enough people fishing to find where they are biting. I'm guessing the perch should be filling up w/ roe. Nothin like a good ol' fish fry w/ fresh perch eggs. []

I stopped today at Jacks creek and there is NO ice anywhere. I lso went to cottonwood and it is clear no ice. Ron

Yesterday's Statesman reported that some of the construction workers who are working on the dam have been going down below the spillway after work and catching some perch. Mike

went there on saturday no ice i was sturgeon fishing from the park below the dam picked up a 5 footer. as for perch there were none and trout were few and far between.ind was blowing maybe 40 mph so i did not have a chance to go up there but towards evening the wind died and i saw a bunch of people fishing the spill ways from the dam but no one was catching anything
