So I went carping today on the Jordan River. I started at North Temple by the Fair Grounds. Worked all the way down to 90th South. Not only did I not catch any, but I didn't see any either. Not one. It was good to be out finally. Was a pleasant day all in all. BUT WHERE DID THEY GO??????

It has been my experience that Carp are a very sluggish, lethargic fish in these cold temperatures bordering on hibernation.

you may want to fish a bit further south. I have never caught carp anywhere past 106th. You get whities, suckers, bullheads, channels, and a few carp. I'd just wait til spring, or head down to bluffdale. I always catch em down there. Murray park is another good spot. there used to be loads of big carp in the slower sections years ago. I havent been over there at all lately, so i cant inform you to whether or not they are still there. try the sunset ponds in june. you can get a smaller carp on just about every cast
