MONA RESERVOIR?????

Has anyone ever caught a fish at mona reservoir? I heard they have walleye and wipers in there. I have been there once and didnt get one bite so i thought someone pulled a prank on me lol

just kidding ya.. years ago there was a lot of fish in mona res.. walleye, LM bass, catfish, carp, sunfish and even wipers.. but after the last drought not much left in there but carp..

What fuzzyfisher said. Now if someone sends you to fish The Great Salt Lake -- be just a tad suspicious, although rumor has it that those brine shrimp can put up a great fight if you use super light tackle.[Wink]

Mona is transitional.

Some years we call it Mona Res., other years it's Mona stream.

I have caught walleye out of the lake maybe 15 or 20 years ago, we could also pick a few up during the spawn that ran up the creek. I'm not sure what has happened since then but I haven't heard much about anyone catching them lately.

I've heard of a lot of people catching catfish out of there. Other than that I've only seen carp. Don't feel bad though, I went out there last summer.

It is irrigation water storage. Many years it is drained completely dry, which is not very healthy for most fish. [cool]
