takin some young kids to DC how is it?

im planning on taking a couple of younger kids out on DC this saturday and was just wondering what conditions were like: slush, snow, etc? any info would be much appreciated

I was up their on this last monday and fishing was slow. we fished out from the island, we were fishing for perch and no takers. my grand daughter lost a bow right at the
hole. she also missed a few other bites. she fished in about 15-20 feet over 47 feet of water. wax worm on a black rat finky, and glow rat finky.

I went out overnight last night and did okay for rainbows in about 15 feet of water. It's a hike but the further out we went the more fish we found. No slush. 12 inches of ice with a few inches of snow.
