My daughter is 7 and I found a great deal on a Pfleuger Purist both 8' and 9' 5 wt rods. I am wondering how are these rods? Any good? Never used a pflueger before.

Very clubby and heavy to me and yes, I HAD one. I am betting not a good choice for your daughter.
Keep an eye on the Deals On The Fly. I got the 3/4 weight 3 piece 8 1/2' Greys (part of Hardy) for like $40 and it is an awesome rod.

i have one thats ive had for around 8 years that i LOVE as a back up. ive landed salmon, torut, pike everything there aswesome
