This year the May 1-2 Gunnison Kiwanis Club tournament at Blue Mesa will feature the usual side contest for lake trout, but with a twist---
-The lake trout prize will be awarded to the team that turns in the greatest number of lake trout under 30" in length (up to the 16 fish 2 man possession limit).
-There will not be a prize for the largest lake trout.

I really like the idea that they won't be promoting the killing of the trophy fish.
