I would like to make another trip to Mill meadows this season and was wondering if I have waited too long. How are the ice conditions. Also wondering if there are perch in Forsythe? Any help would be appreciated.

I was there president's day weekend and the ice was still 16-18" thick. The only thing I would question would be the edges, but you should probably be ok.

Take a plank... not enough catchable perch in forsyth to make it worth passing mill for. Let us know how it goes.

I fished Mill Meadow last Tuesday and the conditions are still very good. There is some slush in the bay toward UM Creek but it wasn't bad until late in the afternoon. If you stick with areas that others have fished, you'll be fine. The edges were still OK around the boat ramp and we didn't have any problem getting on or off the ice. Perch fishing was still very fast. Three of us caught about 175 fish and we kept about 40 of the biggest (7.5 to 10 inches). We caught a few trout but we weren't targeting them at all.
We are planning on fishing MM again next Monday.
