Steelhead Virgin nomore

Went our this morning and caught my first Steelhead. I caught 7 fish between 7:30 and 10:00am. They were Healthy beautiful fish and I can now see why so many love to pursue them. I caught these on my Fly rod and had a absolutely great time. It's good to live in Idaho, can't figure out why I waited so long to go steelhead fishing. Here are some pics enjoy.

Congrats! Great looking fish and looks like that would be a blast on the fly rod. Seems there is a bit of snow up there from todays storm. I am heading up in the morning to see how things go. Still a virgin as far as Idaho Steel head go, but hoping to change that in the morning. I am taking the fly rod also, so once things warm up a bit, I may have to pull it out and give it a try.

Thanks guys, It was quite a day and one I'll never forget. My set up was simple an egg pattern in a pale orange. under an indicator,Just like nymphing. Good luck to all those that head out this weekend.Remember to post a report on your return.
