PELICAN BAY MARINA (UTAH LAKE) CLOSED TO BOAT TRAFFIC

I drove down friday morning and Pelican Bay is closed for work they are doing to the dike. I talked to one of the guys that works there and he said for the next two weeks it will be closed. The have a big sign out front buy the booth and the ramp is taped off.

I heard that they have plans of making the marina much bigger and also making a bigger parking lot.

They had a track hoe up on the right side dike when I was there. all the guy said was they were working on the dike... I still could have unloaded the boat if they would have let me... most of the ramp was clear.... but the park employee said no...

Im glad they took a look at the calender and decided THIS time of year would be best! No one wants to launch boats or anything. Nothing going on now!! [crazy]

I found out that it is cheaper to go around and put in at Lindon, $5.00 is all it cost to put in there... Tubedude talked me thru how to get there. I was on 15 South headed out of Lehi when I called him and got great directions there...

I wish I had one to give, got a few pics of scenery but that is all... I had something take my worm under pretty hard twice in the lindon marina where you told me to fish but never felt a thing when I grabbed the pole... Saratoga springs was dead and I fished around the entrance to AF marina and nothing then went to lindon and two bites is all. No one was catching fish. I talked to two other boats in Lindon marina and not even a bite... One guy said the carp were all around him surfacing. He was just to the right around the corner of the lindon marina in the bay..... Saw one small boat with three kids in it with a bow for carp. they just got there as I was heading out... dont know how they did... water was like glass.

Lindon is my favorite for sure. gotta get my season pass before they run out.

I just got mine yesterday. No worries about them running out- very slow this year.
