Sorry for the late post. Fished Bear lake Thursday. Caught 8 cutts on the east side. They were from the shallow 10-15 ft out to 30 ft. Trolling with regular gear. Fish deep for lakers for awhile but could not coax any to bite. 3 lbs was the biggest cutt.

hm... there still shallow maybe i will have to get over there i was thinking i had probly missed it

do you or anyone ever fish that place in August?? Have my family reunion there/then and would like to hit the water early a couple of days and do some trolling-if it's worth my time[:/]

I have never fished in August. i have in July and the summers are tough. I am sure you could scare up few fish. People to ask are the local guys at Pugstones Sporting goods in Garden city. Darin would be able to help you out. Or down in at the Pickleville store and ask Jim. If anyone knew where to catch some this time of year, it would be them. I do know people catch them long lining that time of year. Make sure you go early, the boaters are out in force early that time of year.
