JUST MOVED TO SUNNYSIDE. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP YOU GUYS COULD OFFER WITH PRICE RIVER, HUNTINGTON RIVER, (FLY FISHING), HUNTINGTON RESEVOIR, JOES VALLEY, CLEVELAND, ELECTRIC LAKE, ETC... I WAS THINKING ABOUT TRYING THE PRICE RIVER IN THE CANYON WITH GRASSHOPPER PATTERNS? I HEARD THAT THE SPLAKE COME IN SHALLOW AT JOES VALLEY IN THE FALL? FUZZYFISHERS' ICE FISHING REPORTS HAVE GOT ME EXCITED TO TRY ELECTRIC IN THE WINTER.
I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS AREA AND WILL BE THANKFULL FOR ANY INFO THAT YOU CAN OFFER.
THANKS AHEAD OF TIME

HI There Windriver, I have fished the Price river just below the colton bridge several times with hopper pattern flys and done quite well on cuts, browns and rainbows. The fishing is much better there in the fall after the water has gone down and cleared up but with the low water this year it might be good now. I have'nt been on Joes Valley for a few years but we used to do real well there with a renegade behind a bubble. My brothers have fished the Huntington river quite a bit and done well but I don't know much about it. Hope this helps. Oh and keep an eye open for snakes on the price river. I have never seen any on that stretch but with the drought you never know
Good Luck

Hey windriver you moved into some great country,I grew up in wellington and still return for some great hunting and fishing regularly. If you like stream fishing lower fish creek(price river)is very good. The colton bridge refered to by a-b is where the river runs under hyway 6 on your way to scofield, the fishing near the bridge and downstream can be good at times, however the best fishing on this river is in the canyon between scofield and hwy-6.To access there is a dirt road on the helper side of the colton bridge with a fish and game sign. this dirt road runs through private property which the dwr has made special arrangements with the land owners for access,so please don't abuse it.This area of river is good for many fish and occational large browns to 6lbs.Huntington river is always good(panther martins are deadly there)the left fork is wild cutroat and hiking only.My favorite stream in the area is seeley creek which runs into joes valley, take the road to pete's hole and drop into the canyon about half way between joes valley and petes hole.(rugged hike, beautiful wild cuttroat and fast fishing with no other fisherman)the stream was destroyed by a mud slide 20 yrs ago but has been coming on strong in recent years. There are many lakes in the area also which can be good.If you have any questions e-mail me anytime.By the way you moved into some great hunting country, from rabbits to ducks to deer and elk if that sort of thing interests you. Good Luck Lonnie

[#ff0000]I went to school down that way for a coupla' years and loved the area, mountains out the front yard, desert out the back door. I most enjoyed all of the ponds on the way to Fairview. [/#ff0000]
