i had guests for the weekend , so my weekend fishing report is a little late .
fished the cedar river between chapel dam and beaverton on a canoe . there were a lot of below size limit brookies cought and released early in the day with several large browns seen suspended behind logs along the way . the brouns were in the 20" - 30 " range , none were hooked at all . i did however see three species of suckers , a couple carp under 10 pounds , a what appeared to look like a school of stergon fry . the fry were about 2-3" in length , i will have to check with the d.n.r. for verification on this , i don't belive that any have been cought in the area before .
