Did you get the Renegade or the Escape?
You should be able to put and electric on either of them. I have even thought about putting a small 4 stroke on my Renegade, maybe 3 horsepower. I don't fish enough larger lakes to justify it yet though.

Not any cons that I'm aware of Zach. Go for it. The Avenger
will take an 8 hp with the hd rear deck if I'm not mistaken. That's also the 12'er. I wouldn't mind having that one either.......X7 frame which is just a little wider too than mine.

I am thinking, you should have gone with the Rampage. It is 10'6" just like out X5, then for a couple of hundred or so, buy the X5 frame.
Then you could have one just like Mojo's AND a frameless model for hike ins.
Plus that floor would be a plus with the gas motor. Mojo is trying to figure out a floor for his because of the spray coming up while cruzing.
Just saying....the price of a frame, or the price of a whole LARGE boat.
Of course, I am a woman and my 10'6" X5 is allot for me to handle. I think even more than my 11' Cardiac with the thinner pontoons.
