Ok, after fishing a few days back, I realized I really really need a new pair of waders. I have tried to seal all the seams and holes, but my foot was soaked. Not to mention how wet I get in deeper water. Although I have to say I have beat the crap out of them and it is just that time. Having said that, I am going to ask Santa for a new pair of waders this Christmas. Probably looking to spend around $150. Where would be the best place to get them (In case I get gift cards) and what kind. Thanks

In that price range I would think about Cabelas waders. If you can go a little more I'd look at the Guide Techs. Otherwise I think the Dry Plus version would be okay.
They aren't going to be as high quality as some out there, but in that price range, if you take care of them properly they should be okay.

I wore the Cabelas Gold Medal Plus waders for a few years. Did alot of bushwacking. They have held up and
no leaks. My lovely wife gave me the Simms G3 last Christmas---fantastic wader.

Rivendell on e-bay or check with William Joseph warehouse. I bought the zip up ones that sell for like $350. normally for $35. Buy as is, but I figured for that price maybe some aquaseal, but no leaks at all....killer deal.

A buddy of mine just bought some return William Joseph waders at their warehouse for $30. As FlyGoddess says, they're as-is, but 2 trips on the mid-Provo including being about waist deep last night and no leaks. I think they even gave him some seam tape when he bought them.

That William Joseph store on 17th South is closed. No info on where they went on the door or anything.
I went there on Wednesday the 20th October, the whole place is vacant.

Does WJoseph have a selection of returned waders all the time, or do you have to keep checking back to find something in your size? I really need a new pair, but don't want to drive 150 miles to find out there aren't any there!
Thanks!

Very hit or miss in my limited experience. I never bought any thing in 3 or 4 trips because couldn't find my size ( 9 1/2 - 10).

I don't know, they have always had a bunch when I have gone in there, but I might be hitting it at the right time.

Timing wise maybe middle or early summer would be better? Seems they would sell more waders then.
BTW cool avatar!

Simms Freestone is a great option as well. 199 at cabelas and cabelas is offering 20 off anything over 120 right now. I owned the freestones for two years. I took good care of them but fished hard.
They developed some leaks finally and I sent them in. Simms called me to verify if I was at the address I sent them from so they could send me a brand new pair. I upgraded to the G3 convertibles and couldnt be happier. Simms earned my business.

My Simms gave out after a lot of hard use and I went into a fly shop I buy at in Idaho .They sold me Simms bootfoot waders that had been rentals for a $100.00 .Im going on the seond year without a leak. Try that. Best buy I have ever made.
