Willow Pond 10/14
#1
Ended up with about an hour to spare on thurs. went to Willow in Murray using a fly and bobber produced 9 trout in about 45 minutes what a good break.

used a slip bobber reeled in slow enough NOT to make any ripples, two feet below the swivel used a pistol pete in renegade pattern about size 2 or 3 hook that was completely destroyed by the time I was done. I love that.

no pics. sorry, biggest was pushing 3 pounds, two more about 14 inches and the rest were just the regular 9 to 11 inchers, all bows'. had several more strikes that I did not hook up on i could have had 20 fish if I had been better at setting on the take... some were clearly just toying with my emotions as they "lipped" the fly though and did not truly hit it with a goo and heartfelt WHACK.

going back there now to play for a half hour maybe with a different fly... who knows.

That can be an awesoem little pond at times. For me it is usually hit or miss....0 fish or C+R 10. I think it depends on what they out in there that week and how many people have hit it. I have also found that they bite new things....things that they haven't seen 100 x that day.

Nice post,

Shawn
