The Coffee Invention of the Year
#1
An Almost a fishing topic.[unsure]

I was at Sam's Club last night and bought a new Coleman product.

A drip coffee maker that is designed to be used by propane burner stoves.

That's right a drip coffee maker for your gas stove. [Smile]

That's right a drip coffe maker with no cord.[cool]

It sets on the burner and it perks away.[sly]

Cost $40. [shocked]

My elk hunting trip just got alot better.[Tongue]

Have you tried that bad boy out yet? How does it work?? My wife and I want to get one but were sceptical at how well it works. I know I would be able to get polo outta bed and camping more if he knew coffee would be brewing early in the morning j/k hahaha...

I do not go anywhere without my coffee maker. I use one of those old camping percolators. You know the ones you can put on the fire or the stove.I have mastered the brewing technique, but have to remember how hot it is compared to the drip method.

I went to the [url "http://www.coleman.com"]www.coleman.com[/url] website and looked at the coffee pot it is pretty cool looking but at 37 dollars I think I will stick with the old fashion method.

I have actually come to enjoy my old fashioned cowboy coffee. Throw a handful of your favorite grind into a pan of boiling water. Cost about $.25 a pot. Just make sure not to take that last sip from your tin cup. All my friends let me make the coffee in camp now as they really enjoy the cowboy method. Just make sure to go a little light if you have a big paw or it will take the enamel off of your teeth.

Good Cooking, Kayote

[Wink]If the spoon doesn't stand up on it's own in the cup, it ain't cowboy coffee. If you can see the bottom of a full cup, it ain't coffee of any kind.[Tongue]

About a cup of Starbucks French Roast in a normal soup pan of water is just about right.

Some make a statement about some "thick necked guy named Gunter"(for those who remember the Martin Mull/Michelob Dark commercial), but by the time they get into thier complaint, they are so wired that they do all of the breakfast dishes and pack everyones gear for the day![laugh]

We tried Lundman's new coffee maker last week at C J Strike and it worked great. Another thing to add to my Christmas list. WH2
