Lucky Craft Lures
#1
I've always fished Strawberry with Tube jigs and done it successfully. But though I would try something new next week and have read lots of post about the Lucky Craft Lures. I know they are expenses so I want to make sure I get the right ones.

Can anyone recommend what color or size to go with and do I use a swivel with them or just to direct to the lure?

thanks for any of the help.

The crank baits (Lucky Craft, Yozuri, etc.) type lures have not done so well for me this year. In years past, they seemed to do a little better. When using them there is absolutely NO reason to use a swivel with them. The only time you need a swivel is when the lure makes turns in the water (like spinners). Adding a swivel just makes them less realistic.

we have been fishing lucky craft for about 4-5 years at the berry. I have tried all sizes and many color varations. My favorite are
1. rainbow 78 pointer SP
2. brownie 78 pointer SP
3. ghost brown 78 pointer SP
4. ghost 78 pointer SP
5. aurora gold 78 pointer SP
6. shell 78 pointer SP
7. aurora black 78 pointer SP

I love these lures and have caught soooo many fish on these. The rainbow comes in several variations (engaged, endangered, purple, lazer, ghost, etc.) I have used all of the above the plain old rainbow works best. I reccomend trying the top three to start. I thought it was rediculous the first time I saw they were $15 each. now I have over $600 worth and love all of them like children. [laugh]
Oh and I have also tried the 100 pointer, 78 pointer DD, 128 pointer and the 65 pointer. I have caught fish on all of them but the 78 pointer SP has worked the best for me by far.
