New season and rules?

Anybody heard what the results of the meeting about new regulations were on the 17th? I'm interested in whether they extended the stream seasons like they said they might.

In Henrys Lake, a month-long ice-fishing season, which closes November 30, was extended through January 1, 2012.
Upper Snake Region Commissioner Cameron Wheeler said there is no question that Henrys Lake is a highly-studied water. The decision comes down to a social issue; he said he would go with the biology and support the increased fishing opportunity. "This is not taken lightly. This is an extremely difficult decision."

I don't fish Henry's very much but the change of regulations between Eagle Rock and American Falls dam is a great change. It is nice to see fish and game make a good decision on that stretch of water.

Now, the fun part comes in REMEMBERING to renew your Idaho license for that LAST DAY. Kind of funny they did that.

Looks like it's going to be very hard to find a parking spot at Henry's Lake on New Years Day . Like Fly Goddess said make sure you have your 2011 license . I am sure Fish and Game will be out in full force that day . Curt G.

Right you are, so you can fish JUST New Year day then closed right?
Makes sense, new season, and might as well get as much as you can out of a license...LOL

Yes it will be open for one day January 1 ,and then closed untill Saturday Memorial weekend . Curt G.
