The day was still dark when we headed for Scofield. It was -1 when we arrived. The ice seemed plenty thick so we made the trek to the island. The ice was 4 to 5 inches so we set up camp. Plenty of action, but most of the takers were 12 to 14 inch rainbows and cutthroats. the big fish of the day was a 17 inch Tiger and a 17 inch cutt. Beautiful day, no wind and the temp warmed to 29 when we left about 1:00. Now we just need to find the big ones next time. No pictures as I'm working with a new camera and I'm not fast enough to get the pictures and get the fish back in the water in a timely way. I'll work on it.

I'm glad to see you posting again. You and rustyhook post alot of good information, especially during ice season. Good luck to you if you're in the ice fishing contest this year.

Sounds like a good day on the ice. Thanks for the report. Any slush?

When we were there on Thursday, there was no slush and only about 2 inches of snow on the ice. It was very easy walking because the snow helped make it not so slick.
