south east idaho bear river up date
#1
hello, how is every one?
well I went and fished the bear river below onida today from around noon tell 5pm and well to say the least it got annoying.. Why you ask well because I couldn't keep the rainbows off today they where literaly hooking up on every single cast I made it was fun for the first few hours of just pulling them in on every cast but after a bit I had to go some where else in faster water thinking it was too fast for them to bite and well I was wrong.. It was a really good day for fishing on the bear river.. Guess after fishing it for about 3 years now I have finally figured out what it is that the fish will bite repetivly

Good report sounds like fun. I am glad to see someone is braving the nasty weather and getting out to harass the fish!

just a bunch of bows a few native bows though that was my first time ever having any luck on that stretch of the river and it was really good luck too.. The weather was actually really nice up there tell me and my dad were leaving then it started to snow but other than that was nice and calm and not to cold I actually had to take my coat off for a little bit because it started to get a little warm I really want to figure out how to catch the bass and walleye out of the river I only do ok for the bass on the res and ok on walleye on the res never caught a brown trout any where but the portinuf and causy in utah.. By the way any one see the new splash member sturgen line weight record.. That is amazing a 7 foot sturgon on 16 pound test that is my land lord course the guy has several records of line weight records for idaho..
