A friend aI were on the Soldier Creek side today and... Well... It was good, steady catching from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Never fast. I got 12 rainbows and 6 top end slot cutts. If you have electronics, pay attention to them. Without it I might have caught half dozen. Fish were at all levels.

Did you drive into the Soldier Creek boat launch side or go down the dam side road? Trying to figure out best access this time of year. I have a 4x4, but no sled/ATV.

You have to park at the road and walk or take a sled/ATV to drive anywhere. We just walked down the lake. The road/snowmobile trail was packed and looked like it was drivable for ATV's. Not too sure about getting an ATV on the ice since the snow is pretty deep on the hills but snow wasn't bad on the ice, maybe 6-8". Fairly easy walking in sled tracks.

Didn't go far enough to see quite that far but I saw nothing but ice upwards of .75 miles from the highway.
