We fished Flaming Gorge at Buckboard today from 1pm to 8pm. The ice thickness averaged around 5" some parts were thicker some were thinner. The part of the ice where my buddy fell in the lake was definitely thinner. Luckily only one leg got soaked before he hopped out and he managed to stay relatively dry. We only caught one fish which was a pup mac at 22" and 3.2 pounds. Couldn't get any Burbot hooked up. The weather was in the low to mid 30's for most of the day and the wind wasn't really blowing. Nice to finally have some decent weather ice fishing the Gorge.

Good to hear someone else got up there yesterday, sounds like ice was about the same as where we fished, too bad the catching wasn't as good.
We fished south of buckboard at Big Bend. We started off fishing shallow for rainbows then moved to deeper water for some pup macks. I think we ended up with 20 or 21 but they were all smaller than yours, I think our largest was a 20" rainbow but we had a couple that broke the lines, that could have been bigger. Very nice day, one of the few times I've fished at the Gorge that the wind did not blow. We arrived around 8am and left around 4:30pm.
