Buddy & I thought we'd see if we could resurrect evening bite in the morning. Heard it hadn't been done by the bridge. Did far better than anticipated, tho lighter bite than nite --- if that's possible. Drilled in at 9am, catching 3 nice perch, followed by 8 jumbos between then & 11. Slowed to a crawl, so we went south & drilled many holes parallel to wall, to no avail. Even went east across the lake to summer perch flats in 30' range, also to no avail. Diagonalled way back to original spot & fastest bite of the day commenced at 1pm. Got 6 more gigantos, including Mr. Big. Relinquished our holes to PIKEMAN and WET1 who showed up at 2-ish, as we wanted to get home for tonight's Packer game. Anxious to hear how they did.

Could a determined fella walk down from the bridge to that general area? I don't have a power sled or wheeler, so I was going to hit Rabbit Gulch, but that is right off the main hwy and we're probably going to hit it on the way back from Pelican.

Holy cow that perch is HUGE!!! Looks like one from Devils Lake, North Dakota! Now I really want to go to Starvation, just wish it wasn't so far away.

Mike,
Sorry I miss you today Pikeman said you had just left. I drill-in at 4:00 had 10 on the ice by 5:30 with many misses. If you missed them on the first bump they were gone, made fishing two pole near impossible. Only a couple of megas but rest were nice.
By the way you are a brave sole going up and down that
hill but I guess its part of the adventure.
