User "AnthonyGreer"?....obituary?
#1
Sorry if this is off topic. I was sitting at lunch today reading the paper and saw an "Anthony Greer" in the obituaries. I remembered a user here on BFT named anthonygreer. Also in the obituary it mentions his love for fishing and specifically Flaming Gorge. Looking at some of his prior posts, he did mention Flaming Gorge a lot.

If that is him...my condolences to his family. I hate to see people I recognize in the obituaries.

Now back on topic...I hate this time of year. Too late to ice fish and too soon to lake fish. My next fishing outing isn't scheduled until the first part of April, but it's at Lake Powell and I can't wait!

[cool][#0000ff]I quit reading the obituaries. At my age I am afraid I will see my name...and it will be spelled right. That can ruin your whole day.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I had some PM chats with Anthony but never had the pleasure of meeting him. He was a young man...only 24, according to HIS OBITUARY. And it did not say his cause of death.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Our condolences to his family.[/#0000ff]

I knew Anthony very well. He showed me several of my favorite fishing spots. He was there when I caught my first largemouth bass at a "secret spot" he showed me.

This was a shock to me.. Thanks for posting this. If you got to know him like I did you would know he was wiser than his years and was a great friend to many with out passing judgement.

He will be missed.

Yes, it's the same Anthony - unfortunately. My son died March 19th. He was a regular on this board, and he loved everything fishing (especially fly fishing). He was also a guide for Flaming Gorge Resort in Dutch John, Utah.
